It was just a few weeks ago that Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the company already has a Frozen musical in the works. Apparently Disney is wasting no time in promoting this Broadway version of the extremely popular film as they launched the website FrozenTheMusical.com earlier this week.

The website is currently bare bones right now, only allowing visitors to sign up for the mailing list to get future announcements about the musical. The website doesn’t even use the film’s logo as a placeholder, but instead has the words “Frozen” in very generic typography. Usually the logos for the Broadway version of Disney animated films are different, which most likely is why they are holding off using the Frozen film logo.

So there you go. In case there were any doubters still around doubting that the Frozenmusical would actually become manifest, this is proof that Disney is plowing full speed ahead. We’re not sure if “Frozen the Musical” will end up being the play’s final name, but rather it’s most likely that this domain name was available compared to other iterations.

The musical is still in the early development stages, but be sure to join the newsletter. I’m sure that is where we will become privy to cast announcements and other updates as the release date comes closer. There currently is no release date for the musical, but it is expected that we won’t see it until late 2015 and, more likely, 2016.

Did you sign up for the Frozen The Musical mailing list? What do you think about this new website?
