The fifth full-length Disney Fairies film, The Pirate Fairy, drops on Blu-ray April 1, and looks like award-winning recording artist Natasha Bedingfield will sing two songs in the movie.
The tunes, “Weightless” (co-written by Bedingfield) and “Who I Am,” will serve as unspoken thoughts put to song for new character Zarina, a la Phil Collins to Tarzan and Julie Fowlis to Merida. “Weightless” is one of Bedingfield’s own songs that served as a rough track for the movie and was decided to keep in the final version. “Who I Am” is an original The Pirate Fairy song.
