This production has been under the radar for quite some time. A co-production between Canadian studio ToonBox and Korean studio Red Rover International, The Nut Job is set to be released by Open Road Pictures on January 17, 2014. Based on the 2005 short Surly Squirrel, this film entered production a while back and its script is being written by Lorne Cameron.
