the-legend-of-korra-season-2-stillFinally! After more than a year of waiting, we now know when Book 2: Spirits will air. During the show’s panel at Comic-Con, the show’s creators, Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino, revealed the beloved show will be back this September.

The Legend of Korra season 2 will focus on Korra as she learns to master the spiritual elements of being the Avatar. We’ve seen Korra can struggle connecting to her spiritual side but she will need to master this aspect of her responsibilities when angry spirits begin surfacing in the physical world. As the Avatar, the bridge between the two realms, Korra must keep everyone safe and investigate what provoked the spirits.

We assume the show will return to the slot it occupied last year: Saturday at 11am on Nickelodeon. Click here for some stunning artwork!

[UPDATE 07/19]

You can read a recap of the first episode, which was screened at Comic-Con right here (beware of spoilers)! And a trailer has been released! Enjoy!

Thanks, Hypable!
