Tony Winner Stephen Oremus To Arrange Music For “Frozen”

Stephen Oremus, 2013 Tony award winner for Best Orchestrations (Kinky Boots), has confirmed that stephen-oremus-disney-frozenhe has participated in arranging music for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming animated musical, Frozen.

Oremus, who has worked on orchestrations in famous theatrical productions like Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon and even Wicked, joins Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (original songs), and Christophe Beck (score) to orchestrate the music for the highly anticipated 53rd Animated Disney Classic.

By the looks (and sounds) of it, Frozen is shaping up to be quite the musical event of the year! Robert Lopez is renowned for his work of the showstopping tunes in The Book of Mormon musical, he also worked with his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez on the music of Disney’s Winnie The Pooh (2011). Christophe Beck is widely known for his work scoring films like The Hangover, Pitch Perfect, Disney’s The Muppets, and most recently, the Oscar-winning Disney Animation short Paperman.

The speaking/singing cast of Frozen includes Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. The CGI-3D movie makes its way to theaters November 27, 2013.
