WWE Producing New Animated ‘Flintstones’

wwe_logoIn conjunction with Warner Bros. Studios, WWE has decided to co-produce a straight to Blu-ray and DVD animated release of The Flintstones sometime in 2015. As expected, there will be wrestling stars in the film as voice actors, though not as main characters, thankfully.

CM Punk, John Cena, and chairman Vince McMahon will be play part in the first prehistoric wrestling match as CM Punkrock, John Cenastone, Vince McMagma (Ay). This marks their second collaboration as WWE and WB Studios are also working together on a Scooby Doo straight to DVD/Blu-ray release in March 2014.  WWE has decidedly been trying to market themselves as “family friendly” entertainment. Do you think this will help their cause? Will the quality of the final product hinder or help this new marketing strategy? Via Slashfilm.
