Monsters-University-PosterWe told you a while back that high school and college students and faculty would be able to attend special Monsters University screenings across the US. It looks like they’ve been a complete success! If you search Twitter for reactions, you’ll only find good things!

The Pixar Post even says that the Detroit screening ended in the audience erupting into applause! It looks like Pixar is back at their very best. Cars 2 was a disappointment for almost every Pixar fan and many felt Brave was a bit underwhelming, even though it won a lot of awards including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature against fierce rival Wreck-It-Ralph, Disney’s fantastic movie.

Here some of the reactions you can find on Twitter: @springer2012 calls the Monsters, Inc prequel a great movie and @SuperBlue811 says it’s easily one of Pixar’s best! That’s high praise indeed! If you saw the movie, make sure to let us know what you thought!

Monsters University opens nationwide on June 21st.

Pablo Ruiz is a Colombian filmmaker. Movies like Toy Story, The Lion King and Aladdin made him fall in love with the art form and now he hopes to dedicate his life to telling stories, hopefully for Pixar (if they go back to doing original films). Some of his ambitions are making a movie as emotionally impacting as Toy Story 3, meeting JK Rowling, and petting a million dogs. Follow him on Twitter (@PabloRV7).
