Pixar’s Brave was named the Best Animated Feature of 2012 last Sunday’s night. San Francisco based KGO-TV now offers a look at how Pixarians celebrated when co-drector Mark Andrews and producer Katherine Sarafian arrived to Emeryville with the golden statuette.
Watch Andrews explain what an honor it was to receive the coveted award and see some of the animators that worked on Brave getting photographed holding the Oscar. The celebration included bagpipers and a Scottish toast, completing the kilt Andrews wore the big night. Let’s hope The Good Dinosaur wins in 2015 so we see director Bob Peterson dressed as a T-Rex take the stage. Hopefully, he won’t be kicked out if he does that.
It’s good to see the Pixar people still get excited even after 30 wins. It’s their enthusiasm and love of good stories that makes Pixar what it is.
